GEZ in Sweden

Of course there is a Swedish television license collection agency like the GEZ in Germany. But their methods are even further developed as you can see in this comic strip from yesterday's Dagens Nyheter.

Dagens Nyheter., 2005-10-21, page 18 Kultur.
I also prepared an English version for those of you who don't speak Swedish.

Radiotjänst are famous for being very persistent about getting people to pay the television licence. I wouldn't be surprised if they went after exchange students. After all, just about a week or so after I moved in I recieved a letter from them, pleading to my conscience. Luckily, I have nothing to hide either, so if they came knocking on my door I'd love to offer them a cup of coffee.

The same applies in Germany. The GEZ is said to use dubious methods to find out if you own a television or a radio. Nowadays you even have to pay the fee if you have a PC with an Internet connection because you have the possibility to watch/hear a live stream - no matter if you do it or not.
